Gordon Sanderson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Greg McVean in the 29th minute of play. Greg McVean got in the 46th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Gordon Sanderson handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Bruce Ayson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gordon Sanderson having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Wolves FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CEltiv.
