Timothy McLachlan didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 14th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Jake Gorrie kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Timothy McLachlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ben Bontein in the 22nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lewis McAdam in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darius McCodrum saved Ventnor from getting behind. If Ben Bontein had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Eyemouth FC booed when Ventnor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcus Armstrong didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ventnor's Darius McCodrum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lewis McAdam in the 48th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Finlay Fish during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Eyemouth FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 57th minute. Penalty! In the 59th minute there was a penalty for Ventnor. Fraser McSorley stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Timothy McLachlan. 3-0. 63 minutes into the match, Lewis McAdam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Darius McCodrum, 3-1. After 68 played minutes Ventnor got a freekick which was hit by Reece Hutchison. Ventnor's Darius McCodrum proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Ventnor from getting a goal against them. Dominic Neilson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Darius McCodrum made a huge save. 73 minutes into the match, Ventnor's goal looked a bit too open when Lewis McAdam came free, but Darius McCodrum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 73rd minute, Dominic Neilson made a precise shot to the right of Darius McCodrum. Ventnor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. 78 minutes into the match, Ventnor's goalkeeper Darius McCodrum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dominic Neilson. Ben Bontein sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lewis McAdam sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Eyemouth FC's zone, Ben Bontein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timothy McLachlan came out of the goal and Ben Bontein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Miles McFarquhar came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Ventnor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miles McFarquhar couldn't finish the play. 4-2 became the score in the 95th minute when Ben Bontein elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Ventnor were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Eyemouth FC for a fine match.
