The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Bahji FC booed when Los clásicos BFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Munro Pratt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vinny Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicky Milroy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Timmy Cowan in the 11th minute of the match. When Rod McEoin came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Bahji FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rod McEoin couldn't finish the play. Ronan McKaskill hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 22nd play minutes Rod McEoin shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Frankie McNey and just under the crossbar into goal. 30 minutes into the match, Timmy Cowan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nicky Milroy. Bahji FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Timmy Cowan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Ronan McKaskill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Milroy having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Timmy Cowan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los clásicos BFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timmy Cowan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Frankie McNey managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Bahji FC's Rod McEoin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Timmy Cowan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vinny Taylor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timmy Cowan hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. If Rod McEoin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frankie McNey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rod McEoin in the 84th minute of the match. 黄竞傲 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Frankie McNey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rod McEoin in the 87th minute of play forced Los clásicos BFC's goalkeeper Frankie McNey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 88 minutes into the match, Los clásicos BFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rod McEoin came free, but Frankie McNey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinny Taylor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Frankie McNey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bahji FC had played much better football throughout.
