Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lairg's Grant McLeverty started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luke Hunter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Greig Robison, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Grant McLeverty received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Luke Hunter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lairg's Mark Hawson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucas Ainslie in the 16th minute of play. Finlay McMath hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. In the 22nd minute, Lucas Ainslie made a precise shot to the right of Mark Hawson. Lairg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 26th minute Greg Wilson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mark Hawson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Stuart McKellaigh cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Luke Hunter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th play minute Grant McLeverty came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luke Hunter. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Greig Robison in the 43rd minute of play forced Keltic Academy's goalkeeper Luke Hunter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Keltic Academy's Luke Hunter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Greig Robison in the 45th minute of play. Grant McLeverty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Luke Hunter made a huge save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lucas Ainslie made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Stephen Wilkinson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luke Hunter was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Will Crombie scored 3-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mark Hawson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luke Hunter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremy Isles in the 61st minute of play. Mark Hawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Crombie in the 62nd minute of play. In the 68th minute, Greig Robison ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luke Hunter was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Greig Robison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lairg's supporters rose to their feet, but Greig Robison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luke Hunter breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Keltic Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Jeremy Isles came free, but Luke Hunter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lucas Ainslie's late challenge caught a Lairg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lucas Ainslie helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th match minute, Keltic Academy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Ainslie to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute Grant McLeverty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luke Hunter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mark Hawson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Will Crombie in the 96th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Keltic Academy players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Lairg.
