Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Hamish Murdoson got the match started through his kick off. 7 minutes into the game, Grant Gordon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Richard Frizell was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Grant Gordon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Richard Frizell having to interfere. Keith Abbott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raymond Lonie in the 12th minute of the match. Hamish Cavanagh could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Keith Abbott made a huge save. In the 17th match minute, Biggar of the North was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Raymond McPherson to maneuver through the defense. After 22 minutes, Raymond Lonie mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Iona and the Biggar of the North players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Iona's Raymond Lonie got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Keith Abbott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamish Murdoson in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Raymond McPherson notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Iona's Richard Frizell. Richard Frizell was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamish Cavanagh in the 33rd minute of play forced Biggar of the North's goalkeeper Keith Abbott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 35 played minutes Biggar of the North got a freekick which was hit by Sam Carrick. In the 37thth minute of the game Raymond McPherson who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iona's Richard Frizell was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raymond McPherson in the 44th minute of play forced Iona's goalkeeper Richard Frizell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Frizell showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grant Gordon in the 45th minute of the match. Richard Frizell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grant Gordon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Iona players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Biggar of the North were winning 0-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Grant Gordon was the one to do the kick off. When Grant Gordon fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Biggar of the North's protests and gave Grant Gordon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Iona booed when Biggar of the North was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Gordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. With an all-out effort, Biggar of the North's Richard Frizell threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Grant Gordon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamish Cavanagh in the 64th minute of play forced Biggar of the North's goalkeeper Keith Abbott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Frizell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grant Gordon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alex Barbour kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Richard Frizell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Les Gilbert in the 69th minute. After a rather tough play, Iona's Cameron Greig got a free kick in the 70th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Iona's zone, Davie Dyson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Richard Frizell came out of the goal and Davie Dyson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Biggar of the North getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Sam Carrick hit a great ball. Iona's Richard Frizell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Grant Gordon in the 81st minute of play. Richard Frizell was a little too slow when Grant Gordon got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 0-4. Keith Abbott didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Raymond Lonie went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score.
