Matthew Young made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mickey Frost in the 10th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Grant Millman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthew Young was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 18th minute, Owen Hayes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Dion Hammond, passed just outside the right post. In the 21stth minute of the game Grant Millman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kennington's Matthew Young was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Kennington getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Leon Corby hit a great ball. Joel Craven could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Dion Hammond made a huge save. After some careless play in the Kennington defense, Grant Millman kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matthew Young. The Kennington fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthew Young should have stopped the shot. The long shot by Junior Strickland in the 42nd minute really tested Dion Hammond's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Owen Hayes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matthew Young took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Grant Millman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Kennington's goalkeeper Matthew Young had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mickey Frost. Joel Craven received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Dion Hammond tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Black Country AFC's Denny Moxon got a free kick in the 67th minute. Matthew Young made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Grant Millman in the 69th minute of play. In the 71st minute, Grant Millman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Matthew Young was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Leon Corby hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute of the match Ralph Jennings shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dion Hammond showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 88 played minutes Black Country AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Milton. Dion Hammond showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Owen Hayes, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Owen Hayes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Black Country AFC's goalkeeper Dion Hammond, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Black Country AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
