Spectators: 6856 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 0) Loyd Hughes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francis Trotter in the 3rd minute of the match. When Weybridge's Carl Moyle in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Playing Place's goalie prevented a goal. Carl Moyle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loyd Hughes having to interfere. In the 13th minute Francis Trotter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loyd Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Moyle in the 18th minute of play forced Playing Place's goalkeeper Loyd Hughes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francis Trotter fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loyd Hughes having to interfere. With a little luck, Weybridge's Barney Simms got control of the ball when Jerome Rocastle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Loyd Hughes came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Weybridge's Francis Trotter. But to his dismay, Francis Trotter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After having played for 34 minutes, Francis Trotter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weybridge's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francis Trotter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Francis Trotter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th match minute, Playing Place was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stewart Rawson to maneuver through the defense. 42 minutes had been played when some careless play by Playing Place's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joey Gibbs was slow to take the kick. During this time Weybridge's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Joey Gibbs almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Playing Place's Loyd Hughes did a great save. In the 46th minute, Rodd Fuller reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Barney Simms. The goal made the score 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Francis Trotter to strike the kick off in the second half. Jerome Rocastle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barney Simms having to interfere. If Rodd Fuller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Francis Trotter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Playing Place's Loyd Hughes got control of the ball when Carl Moyle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Weybridge were awarded a corner in the 71th minute after Playing Place's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Joey Gibbs took the corner. Joey Gibbs made a great header on Weybridge's corner, it was just that Playing Place's Loyd Hughes managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 74th minute Francis Trotter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Loyd Hughes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 76 played minutes Playing Place got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Jennings. After 77 played minutes Weybridge got a freekick which was hit by Lennie Ripley. Barney Simms showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerome Rocastle, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. If Carl Moyle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Playing Place's Loyd Hughes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francis Trotter in the 85th minute of play. In the 88th minute, Weybridge's Francis Trotter dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Jerome Rocastle struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Barney Simms didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Playing Place. The Weybridge players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
