Alberto Lobo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Monteiro in the 14th minute of the match. Rui Cardoso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Lúcio Costa made a huge save. 19 minutes in the game, Adelino Macena fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Lúcio Costa having to interfere. If Adelino Macena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elias Graça hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rui Cardoso got free with Lúcio Costa in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 37 minutes into the match, Rui Cardoso dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Lúcio Costa, 2-0. Lúcio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Cardoso in the 87th minute of play. Gravelos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
