After 5 played minutes Laundos FC got a freekick which was hit by Rafael Garcia. After 8 played minutes Sacoto got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Mourão. When Laundos FC's Armindo Ramos in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sacoto's goalie prevented a goal. In the 13th minute of the match Alexandre Nascimento shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Raul Azeredo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jacinto Coimbra hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Sacoto's Raimundo Mourão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Rafael Campos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After some careless play in the Sacoto defense, Afonso Brito kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Raul Azeredo. The Sacoto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Raul Azeredo should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alexandre Pinto got free with Rafael Campos in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the match, Sacoto's goal looked a bit too open when Armindo Ramos came free, but Raul Azeredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armindo Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alexandre Pinto struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Rafael Campos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sacoto. Afonso Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raul Azeredo having to interfere. Abel Granja's late challenge caught a Laundos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Granja helped the player get up and apologised. 44 minutes into the game, one of Sacoto:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Alexandre Nascimento shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell André Tinoco to make the kick off. Alexandre Pinto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Campos having to interfere. André Tinoco might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Campos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. André Tinoco ran back to his position shaking his head. After a good free kick, André Tinoco got an opportunity to smash the ball into the goal, but unfortunately, the ball went just outside the goal, which resulted in a goal kick for Laundos FC. In the 59th minute Afonso Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raul Azeredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Sacoto's Anselmo Cerqueira got a free kick in the 59th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gil Guarda during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 64th minute, Gil Guarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Armindo Ramos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sacoto's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laundos FC the free kick. In the 81st minute, Armindo Ramos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 84 minutes into the match, Sacoto's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Brito came free, but Raul Azeredo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Laundos FC's Rafael Garcia got a free kick in the 87th minute. 94 minutes into the game, André Tinoco cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rafael Campos was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
