Spectators: 7216 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Geraldo Carvalho kicked off to start the match. Delfim Falcão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Nivaldo Novais made a huge save. Sporting 70's Valério Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Nivaldo Novais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Delfim Falcão's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Nivaldo Novais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Carvalho in the 18th minute of play. The corner led PJNR TEAM's Enzo Seabra to fire away a dangerous shot which Nivaldo Novais despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. PJNR TEAM's Cesário Valadão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valério Viegas in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Sporting 70 booed when PJNR TEAM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Renato Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesário Valadão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermenegildo Pegado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the game, Hermenegildo Pegado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cesário Valadão was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Sporting 70 getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Valério Viegas hit a great ball. 44 minutes into the match, Sporting 70's Hermenegildo Pegado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cesário Valadão narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geraldo Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Nivaldo Novais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valério Viegas to strike the kick off in the second half. Delfim Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Delfim Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nivaldo Novais having to interfere. Nivaldo Novais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Renato Pedroso, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Valério Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 73rdth minute of the game Delfim Falcão who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sporting 70's Nivaldo Novais was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Geraldo Carvalho struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Nivaldo Novais didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PJNR TEAM. In the 90th minute, Geraldo Carvalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nivaldo Novais came out of the goal in the 92nd minute to try and stop a shot by PJNR TEAM's Geraldo Carvalho. But to his dismay, Geraldo Carvalho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 95 played minutes Sporting 70 got a freekick which was hit by Valério Viegas. In the 96th minute Geraldo Carvalho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nivaldo Novais saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
