In the 23rd minute, Hamilton Ferreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Óscar Assis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Flávio Espírito Santo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. After a rather tough play, Palhaca's José Coelho got a free kick in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Alexandre Gonçalves made the kick off in the second half. Hamilton Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Óscar Assis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When José Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palhaca's protests and gave José Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. José Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 69 played minutes Mocidade Invicta got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Reis. 70 minutes into the match, Palhaca's Jorge Simões broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Palhaca getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. José Coelho hit a great ball. If Hamilton Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Magalhães blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Flávio Espírito Santo having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Mocidade Invicta's Duarte Calado got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Flávio Espírito Santo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Gonçalves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Palhaca booed when Mocidade Invicta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamilton Ferreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 90 minutes of play, Mocidade Invicta's Hamilton Ferreira made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Óscar Assis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nuno Fragoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Óscar Assis having to interfere. Mocidade Invicta's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
