SC Sanchequias's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pedrinsky FC the free kick. After 3 played minutes SC Sanchequias got a freekick which was hit by Artur Sá. 4 minutes into the match, Pedrinsky FC's Laureano Sampaio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 5 played minutes SC Sanchequias got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Fonseca. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Aprígio Horta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pedrinsky FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aprígio Horta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Amaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. José Amaro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aprígio Horta, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Aprígio Horta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. José Henriques's late challenge caught a Pedrinsky FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José Henriques helped the player get up and apologised. After 33 played minutes SC Sanchequias got a freekick which was hit by José Henriques. Paulo Taveira spun around in front of the goal 35 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of SC Sanchequias's goal. José Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aprígio Horta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gastão Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinsky FC's Paulo Taveira got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Aprígio Horta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but José Amaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Filipe Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gastão Soares having to interfere. Pedrinsky FC's Gastão Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Silva in the 64th minute of play. Pedro Fonseca hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by SC Sanchequias's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Laureano Sampaio was slow to take the kick. During this time Pedrinsky FC's players had a chance to rest. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Filipe Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot.
