In the 10th minute, Rafael Ekialde got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rafael Ekialde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Afonso Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Areoza's Rafael Ekialde sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Silva narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dário Moura to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Azibo FC's goalkeeper Afonso Silva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nestor Rozarius. When Nestor Rozarius came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Areoza fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nestor Rozarius couldn't finish the play. Areoza's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
