Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Raul Borba started the match with the kick off. After having played for 3 minutes, Lúcio Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Courela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lúcio Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Raul Borba elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Eliseu Calçada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Rafael Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte Vilaça's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Ferro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. Patrício Fidalgo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raul Borba in the 20th minute of the match. SC Courela's Diogo Campos couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 27th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Genizio. With a little luck, SC Courela's Rafael Ferro got control of the ball when Duarte Vilaça tried to sneak it across the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Genizio's Eliseu Calçada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Ferro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Duarte Vilaça came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Genizio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Vilaça couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eliseu Calçada to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Eliseu Calçada got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Duarte Vilaça sped through SC Courela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Rafael Ferro. André Figueiredo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Patrício Fidalgo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If André Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Raul Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to SC Courela getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. António Faro hit a great ball. When Duarte Vilaça came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Genizio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Vilaça couldn't finish the play. Eliseu Calçada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Ferro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duarte Vilaça, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After 90 minutes, Sebastião Pedroso mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Courela and the Genizio players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Genizio booed when SC Courela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Pedroso didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eliseu Calçada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Genizio's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
