Teodoro Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesário Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Teodoro Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. Rafael Fragoso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesário Costa having to interfere. Cesário Costa came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by CristeloCovoBoys's Rafael Fragoso. But to his dismay, Rafael Fragoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Israel Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Azelha FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Israel Amaro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastião Moniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. CristeloCovoBoys's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Hamilton Calçada scored to the left of an out of position Sebastião Moniz, making the score, 1-2. Amílcar Luz hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Cesário Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Fragoso in the 32nd minute of play. Rafael Fragoso took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cesário Costa. Cesário Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. After a defensive mix-up in Azelha FC's zone, Teodoro Correia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cesário Costa came out of the goal and Teodoro Correia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Teodoro Correia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Azelha FC made a substitution. Carlos Mota replaced Éder Lobo. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

51 minutes into the match, Rafael Fragoso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cesário Costa. Azelha FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rafael Fragoso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. But to his dismay, Rafael Fragoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-5. CristeloCovoBoys's Rafael Fragoso got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rafael Fragoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Cesário Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 65 played minutes CristeloCovoBoys got a freekick which was hit by Martinho Miguéis. Teodoro Correia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cesário Costa having to interfere. Teodoro Correia blasted a shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cesário Costa having to make a save. Quintino Vasques's late challenge caught a Azelha FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Quintino Vasques helped the player get up and apologised. After 85 played minutes CristeloCovoBoys got a freekick which was hit by Quintino Vasques. 97 minutes into the game, Martinho Miguéis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CristeloCovoBoys's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Azelha FC the free kick. Martinho Miguéis hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. The Azelha FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CristeloCovoBoys's performance. The match ended with a win for CristeloCovoBoys.
