If Alcides Saraiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Martins might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Afonso Montenegro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Martins ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Chão Duro FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Yuri Machado hit a great ball. Alcides Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 20 played minutes, SC Mariz's Saúl Serpa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Rodolfo Castilho came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Mariz reached it. Vicente Rios received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Rodolfo Castilho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 26 in the game by Miguel Sabrosa from a close distance when the talented Rodolfo Castilho managed to make a qualified save. Chão Duro FC's players were relieved. In the 27th minute, Chão Duro FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Miguel Sabrosa fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The attack was good, but when Vicente Rios in the 28th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Miguel Sabrosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Castilho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. SC Mariz's Afonso Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alcides Saraiva in the 34th minute of play. Miguel Sabrosa took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodolfo Castilho. Rodolfo Castilho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Afonso Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alcides Saraiva in the 43rd minute of the match. Vicente Rios fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Castilho having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Edgar Martins ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Montenegro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1.

Rodolfo Castilho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Rios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Montenegro made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Edgar Martins sent off a good shot on target. Rodolfo Castilho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Rios went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Afonso Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alcides Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After 64 played minutes Chão Duro FC got a freekick which was hit by Sidónio Marques. Miguel Sabrosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Edgar Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonso Montenegro having to interfere. 72 minutes into the match, Miguel Sabrosa had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodolfo Castilho. Chão Duro FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Miguel Sabrosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Afonso Montenegro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alcides Saraiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Miguel Sabrosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Castilho having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Vicente Rios notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Chão Duro FC's Rodolfo Castilho. Rodolfo Castilho was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Edgar Martins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 95 minutes into the match, SC Mariz's goalkeeper Afonso Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Martins. SC Mariz's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
