Tomé Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Horácio Festas made a huge save. Leandro Caeiro hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Horácio Festas came out of the goal in the 14th minute to try and stop a shot by DESPORTIVO DE ALCAINS's Tomé Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Tomé Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Serafim Barros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Guerreiro having to interfere. Horácio Festas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigiusz Olchawa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Geriatricos FC's Horácio Festas got control of the ball when Tomé Pinheiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 21 minutes, Paulino Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DESPORTIVO DE ALCAINS and the Geriatricos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Paulino Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. After some careless play in the Geriatricos FC defense, Aureliusz Gonsiewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horácio Festas. The Geriatricos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horácio Festas should have stopped the shot. Geriatricos FC's Serafim Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Geriatricos FC defense, Tomé Pinheiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horácio Festas. The Geriatricos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horácio Festas should have stopped the shot. 38 minutes into the match, Geriatricos FC's goalkeeper Horácio Festas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Russ Lodge. 39 minutes into the game, Aureliusz Gonsiewski cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Horácio Festas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Pinheiro got free with Horácio Festas in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tomás Carneiro's late challenge caught a DESPORTIVO DE ALCAINS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Carneiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Geriatricos FC's Tomás Carneiro got a free kick in the 46th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomé Pinheiro made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Serafim Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horácio Festas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomé Pinheiro in the 66th minute of play. Tomé Pinheiro took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horácio Festas. Horácio Festas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 7-0. Aureliusz Gonsiewski hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Serafim Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 77th minute, Tomás Carneiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 82 minutes into the match, Tomé Pinheiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horácio Festas. Geriatricos FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tomé Pinheiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 8-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomé Pinheiro in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horácio Festas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horácio Festas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevão Amaro in the 90th minute of play. 95 minutes into the game, DESPORTIVO DE ALCAINS's Estevão Amaro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Horácio Festas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. DESPORTIVO DE ALCAINS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
