Geriatricos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Serafim Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Álvaro Leal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Álvaro Leal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vítor Benevides in the 11th minute of play. But to his dismay, Rodrigo Veiga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Serafim Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vítor Benevides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Leal having to interfere. After some careless play in the SC Entradas defense, Vítor Benevides kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Álvaro Leal. The SC Entradas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Álvaro Leal should have stopped the shot. Vítor Benevides scored 1-2 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Álvaro Leal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Serafim Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Álvaro Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vítor Benevides in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Leal saved SC Entradas from getting behind. Geriatricos FC's Horácio Festas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Geriatricos FC from getting a goal against them. Geriatricos FC's Horácio Festas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Vieira in the 31st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vítor Benevides in the 46th minute of play forced SC Entradas's goalkeeper Álvaro Leal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Vítor Benevides who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Álvaro Leal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Vítor Benevides came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Geriatricos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Benevides couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, SC Entradas's Álvaro Leal got control of the ball when Cristóvão Antunes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 77 minutes into the match, SC Entradas's goalkeeper Álvaro Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomás Carneiro. After 94 played minutes SC Entradas got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Guarda. If Tomás Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The SC Entradas fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Geriatricos FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
