The tension between the Loch Ness FC and the Red Star Monção players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Loch Ness FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Tomás Granja hit a great ball. In the 4th minute of the match Teodoro Lameiras shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zacarias Novais showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Oliveira in the 14th minute of play forced Loch Ness FC's goalkeeper Zacarias Novais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Loch Ness FC's Zacarias Novais got control of the ball when John Wayne tried to sneak it across the goal line. Osvaldo Alvarenga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Granja in the 23rd minute of the match. Loch Ness FC's attentive Bernal Larrechi managed to snatch the ball when Fábio Jesus made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. If André França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Teodoro Lameiras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Osvaldo França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teodoro Lameiras got free with Zacarias Novais in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lourenço Vieira hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Paulino Lucena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Loch Ness FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Lucena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Joaquim Camargo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Alvarenga was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. After 40 played minutes Red Star Monção got a freekick which was hit by Andaka Babalov. Fábio Jesus kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Zacarias Novais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from John Wayne in the 59th minute of play. Osvaldo Alvarenga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Ribas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Red Star Monção's zone, Miguel Ribas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Alvarenga came out of the goal and Miguel Ribas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Ribas charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Miguel Ribas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miguel Ribas kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 76th minute, Tomás Granja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Loch Ness FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Teodoro Lameiras fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zacarias Novais having to interfere. If Tomás Granja had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André França's late challenge caught a Loch Ness FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André França helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Red Star Monção was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by André França to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Alvarenga made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Joaquim Camargo sent off a good shot on target. Miguel Ribas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Osvaldo Alvarenga when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rdth minute of the game Miguel Ribas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Red Star Monção's Osvaldo Alvarenga was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Loch Ness FC's Paulino Lucena got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Red Star Monção supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Loch Ness FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Loch Ness FC.
