The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes of play, FCPorto's Hermano Mansilha made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. João Távora was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Januário Antunes got free with João Távora in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermano Mansilha in the 14th minute of play forced jaca FC's goalkeeper João Távora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Hermano Mansilha recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of João Távora. Hermano Mansilha showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. jaca FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Timóteo Palmeira scored to the left of an out of position João Távora, making the score, 3-0. After 28 minutes, Januário Antunes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FCPorto and the jaca FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FCPorto getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Januário Antunes hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match Josué Carmona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Heitor Vargas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermano Mansilha in the 33rd minute of play forced jaca FC's goalkeeper João Távora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timóteo Palmeira in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck João Távora prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a little luck, jaca FC's João Távora got control of the ball when Josué Bessa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hamilton Taveira hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Heitor Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. João Távora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermano Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 42 minutes into the game, Mário Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. jaca FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCPorto the free kick. In the 42nd match minute, jaca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mário Lopes to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Timóteo Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Távora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Távora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermano Mansilha in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodolfo Rangel made a kick off. Mariano Laureano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without João Távora having to interfere. Timóteo Palmeira scored 4-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Távora, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of jaca FC booed when FCPorto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Falcão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodolfo Rangel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Heitor Vargas made a huge save. FCPorto's Heitor Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Rangel in the 61st minute of play. João Távora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermano Mansilha in the 62nd minute of the match. 63 minutes into the match, jaca FC's goal looked a bit too open when Januário Antunes came free, but João Távora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. João Távora made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Januário Antunes in the 65th minute of play. João Távora came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by FCPorto's Januário Antunes. But to his dismay, Januário Antunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermano Mansilha in the 75th minute of play forced jaca FC's goalkeeper João Távora to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The corner ended in Hermano Mansilha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but jaca FC's João Távora did a great save. Heitor Vargas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Rangel in the 78th minute. The supporters of FCPorto booed when jaca FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Vasconcelos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 82nd match minute, jaca FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Vasconcelos to maneuver through the defense. 85 minutes into the game, Januário Antunes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. João Távora was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 88 minutes, Hermano Mansilha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FCPorto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hermano Mansilha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the match, Jarbas Delgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Távora. jaca FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jarbas Delgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. João Távora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hermano Mansilha in the 94th minute of the match. jaca FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
