Spectators: 6857 (Terracing: 5807, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 50) FZZ Sport Club's Octávio Valadão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Heitor Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Octávio Valadão in the 3rd minute of play. Jorge Esteves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hermano Mansilha in the 5th minute of play. Jorge Esteves came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by FCPorto's Timóteo Palmeira. But to his dismay, Timóteo Palmeira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Timóteo Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heitor Vargas was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Octávio Valadão capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Octávio Valadão really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 22nd minute Domingos Rangel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Heitor Vargas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermano Mansilha in the 27th minute of play forced FZZ Sport Club's goalkeeper Jorge Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th match minute, FZZ Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Rangel to maneuver through the defense. After 31 minutes of play, FZZ Sport Club's Octávio Valadão made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Heitor Vargas was left in no man's land by his defense there! 34 minutes into the game, Octávio Valadão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Heitor Vargas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to FZZ Sport Club getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Octávio Valadão hit a great ball. Jorge Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermano Mansilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Januário Antunes hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hermano Mansilha stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Octávio Valadão took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Heitor Vargas. Heitor Vargas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The supporters of FZZ Sport Club booed when FCPorto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Januário Antunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Octávio Valadão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heitor Vargas was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. In the 63rd match minute, FCPorto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josué Bessa to maneuver through the defense. Januário Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Esteves having to interfere. Heitor Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Rijo in the 71st minute of play. Heitor Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octávio Valadão in the 72nd minute of the match. FCPorto's Heitor Vargas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Rijo in the 74th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Cássio Rijo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Heitor Vargas. FCPorto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cássio Rijo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-1. In the 87th match minute, FZZ Sport Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivo Ponte to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Josué Bessa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Heitor Vargas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Rijo in the 91st minute of the match. Octávio Valadão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Heitor Vargas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Timóteo Palmeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. FCPorto's supporters rose to their feet, but Timóteo Palmeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorge Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. FCPorto's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
