Wilson Azeredo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Hermes Abreu made a huge save. Sílvio Osório kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Filipe Lemos managed to, on his own, get straight through Xtreme Academy's defense and in the 32nd minute placed the ball to the left of Hermes Abreu. 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olívio Oliveira to make the kick off. Famous Grouse FC's Wilson Azeredo got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Durval Gonçalves in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hermes Abreu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 56thth minute of the game Durval Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xtreme Academy's Hermes Abreu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Júlio Mansilha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adriano Amaro in the 62nd minute. The referee felt a red card was in order, 65 minutes into the game, when Filipe Gama put in a rough tackle. Filipe Gama kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Xtreme Academy's Olívio Oliveira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Júlio Mansilha. That made the score 1-3 after 67 minutes of play. The throw-in from Lúcio Baía in the 75th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Famous Grouse FC's Vicente Durães. Vicente Durães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermes Abreu having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Durval Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Famous Grouse FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Durval Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hermes Abreu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Durães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Hermes Abreu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 88 minutes into the game, Bento Aires threw the ball into play from the sideline. Famous Grouse FC's Rafael Onofre quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 91st minute Durval Gonçalves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermes Abreu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermes Abreu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xtreme Academy were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Famous Grouse FC's much stronger midfield.
