PIQÕES FC's Horacio Marquez managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Dany Carvalho in the 30 minute of the game. 35 minutes into the game, S.L.Benfica's Rui Avelar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cyryl Siwek made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. S.L.Benfica's Neymar Pequeño got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Teófilo Sabrosa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
