Aldo Prada charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Prada the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Cotinguiba Futebol Manage booed when Luso was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Prada didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 21 played minutes Cotinguiba Futebol Manage got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Curado. Gabriel Meireles hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Zeferino Durães hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With his leg Paulo Santos managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Cotinguiba Futebol Manage's Alípio Soveral fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gabriel Meireles kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alípio Soveral to make the kick off. Alípio Soveral might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulo Santos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alípio Soveral ran back to his position shaking his head. If Joaquim Santana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alípio Soveral struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Paulo Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cotinguiba Futebol Manage. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cotinguiba Futebol Manage fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Rui Lisboa, was totally fooled by Luso's Alcino Esteves, who 62 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A collision led to Cotinguiba Futebol Manage getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Eliseu Ruas hit a great ball. Paulo Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zeferino Durães, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alcino Esteves in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rui Lisboa saved Cotinguiba Futebol Manage from getting behind. Paulo Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alípio Soveral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paulo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeferino Durães in the 93rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Cerqueira in the 95th minute of play forced Cotinguiba Futebol Manage's goalkeeper Rui Lisboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zeferino Durães scored 4-2 in the 98th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Paulo Santos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cotinguiba Futebol Manage fans cheered their team off the field, for while Luso had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
