Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sandro Nóbrega made the kick off and thus started the match. 8 minutes into the match, Frederik Ceustermans notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SC Ventureira's David Ferrão. David Ferrão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to SC Ventureira getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. João Rebocho hit a great ball. In the 12th minute, Joaquim Mascarenhas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. David Ferrão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Frederik Ceustermans sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Rebocho charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Rebocho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some careless play in the SC Ventureira defense, Frederik Ceustermans kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Ferrão. The SC Ventureira fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Ferrão should have stopped the shot. Frederik Ceustermans struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. David Ferrão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sporting CP. After recieving a nice pass, Sporting CP's Francisco Neves tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Frederik Ceustermans took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Ferrão. David Ferrão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. David Ferrão came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting CP's Joaquim Mascarenhas. But to his dismay, Joaquim Mascarenhas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Pedro Ortiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Moisés Mendonça in the 35th minute of the match. During the 35th minute of the match João Rebocho completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave João Rebocho a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 36 played minutes SC Ventureira got a freekick which was hit by João Rebocho. Frederik Ceustermans took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Ferrão. David Ferrão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. In the 47th minute Frederik Ceustermans shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Ferrão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-6 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frederik Ceustermans to make the kick off. If Frederik Ceustermans had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederik Ceustermans recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th minute, Homero Eanes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moisés Mendonça's late challenge caught a Sporting CP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Moisés Mendonça helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to SC Ventureira getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Moisés Mendonça hit a great ball. Pedro Ortiz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moisés Mendonça, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Ventureira's Evandro Peseiro was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Pedro Ortiz in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Sporting CP's Pedro Ortiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cândido Flores in the 72nd minute of play. Joaquim Mascarenhas kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of SC Ventureira booed when Sporting CP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Soveral hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Evandro Peseiro hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. 90 minutes into the match, SC Ventureira's goal looked a bit too open when Frederik Ceustermans came free, but David Ferrão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Mascarenhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Ferrão having to interfere. The supporters of Sporting CP booed when SC Ventureira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cândido Flores didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 94 minutes, Laureano Lopes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sporting CP and the SC Ventureira players grew even worse after the yellow card.
