Nuno Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diamantino Figueiras in the 6th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Carlos Manso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scarrone FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Manso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Afonso Antunes came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the TORRESIBA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Antunes couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Figueiras in the 17th minute of play forced Scarrone FC's goalkeeper Nuno Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Antunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Nuno Sampaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Scarrone FC's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Antunes came free, but Nuno Sampaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Scarrone FC booed when TORRESIBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armindo Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nuno Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Antunes in the 25th minute of play. Carlos Mansos short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Lourenço Pinheiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 32nd minute, Afonso Antunes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TORRESIBA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. The TORRESIBA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Manso was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Scarrone FC's goalkeeper Nuno Sampaio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Antunes. Scarrone FC's Nuno Sampaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Reis in the 58th minute of play. Cyryl Kendra hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Afonso Antunes had several of the Scarrone FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 62 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Nuno Sampaio as he didn't even see the shot coming. Lourenço Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Domingos Faria in the 66th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diamantino Figueiras in the 70th minute of play forced Scarrone FC's goalkeeper Nuno Sampaio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 75th minute, TORRESIBA's Paulo Reis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-7. After 80 played minutes TORRESIBA got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Anjos. 85 minutes into the game, Paulo Reis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Nuno Sampaio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adriano Domingos hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. Carlos Manso charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos Manso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of TORRESIBA booed when Scarrone FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Manso didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over TORRESIBA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Scarrone FC throughout the match.
