Spectators: 8099 (Terracing: 6076, Seating: 1862, VIP seats: 161) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Humberto Velasques got the match started through his kick off. Celso Vasconcelos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celso Sobral in the 4th minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, IOL's goalkeeper Sabino Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Velasques. Humberto Velasques could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Sabino Marques made a huge save. Celso Vasconcelos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Sobral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. David Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 18 minutes into the match, IOL's goal looked a bit too open when Germano Borba came free, but Sabino Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Radoslaw Zukowski got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Futebol Espinhel's Radoslaw Zukowski managed to work through IOL's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Radoslaw Zukowski dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After having played for 25 minutes, Alexandrino Tomé managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IOL's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexandrino Tomé was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Domingos Bentes lost his temper 27 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 28th match minute, IOL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Domingos Bentes to maneuver through the defense. Futebol Espinhel's Salvador Santana was responsible for 2-0 with a brilliant performance in the 29th minute when he, by himself, got past the opponents defense and with a quick shot sent the ball into the goal to the left of Sabino Marques. In the 33rd minute, Jörn Arenstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 45 minutes of play, Futebol Espinhel's David Rocha made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sabino Marques was left in no man's land by his defense there! The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Sobral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to IOL getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Romão Neves hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Celso Sobral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Celso Vasconcelos was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. IOL's Sabino Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Velasques in the 56th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Romão Neves got free with Celso Vasconcelos in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Rocha in the 71st minute of play forced IOL's goalkeeper Sabino Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 minutes, Kevin Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the IOL and the Futebol Espinhel players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kevin Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. IOL's Sabino Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Rocha in the 75th minute of play. Sabino Marques didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from David Rocha went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Humberto Velasques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Sabino Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. David Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sabino Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Germano Borba, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Germano Borba hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 88th minute Humberto Velasques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sabino Marques saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexandrino Tomé received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Celso Vasconcelos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Alexandrino Tomé was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IOL's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Futebol Espinhel the free kick. After 94 played minutes IOL got a freekick which was hit by Alexandrino Tomé. Humberto Velasques struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Sabino Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Futebol Espinhel. Futebol Espinhel walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
