After 8 played minutes TORRESIBA got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Anjos. When the match clock showed 10 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Diamantino Figueiras sped through IOL's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sabino Marques. An unexpected shot in the 13th minute by Afonso Antunes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Lourenço Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Sobral, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. The supporters of IOL booed when TORRESIBA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Reis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 17 played minutes TORRESIBA got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Anjos. 19 minutes into the match, IOL's goal looked a bit too open when Afonso Antunes came free, but Sabino Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, TORRESIBA's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandrino Tomé came free, but Lourenço Pinheiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabino Marques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diamantino Figueiras, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lourenço Pinheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Celso Sobral in the 23rd minute of the match. If Diamantino Figueiras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Sobral in the 42nd minute of play forced TORRESIBA's goalkeeper Lourenço Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, IOL's goal looked a bit too open when Diamantino Figueiras came free, but Sabino Marques reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Kevin Anjos hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Sabino Marques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Afonso Antunes in the 55th minute of the match. After 57 minutes IOL's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Norberto Ferrão who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Norberto Ferrão got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sabino Marques quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lourenço Pinheiro made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Romão Neves sent off a good shot on target. Lourenço Pinheiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celso Sobral, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. A collision led to TORRESIBA getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Paulo Reis hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Celso Sobral got free with Lourenço Pinheiro in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexandrino Tomé was extremely unlucky when he, in the 77th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. If Diamantino Figueiras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Afonso Antunes in the 80th minute of play forced IOL's goalkeeper Sabino Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lourenço Pinheiro was a little too slow when Celso Sobral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 86th minute. The score was now 1-2. Celso Sobral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 89thth minute, Lourenço Pinheiro skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Celso Sobral who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Lourenço Pinheiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Lourenço Pinheiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Sobral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lourenço Pinheiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachary Paraszczuk in the 96th minute of play. The IOL players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
