After 6 minutes, Laurentino Balsemão mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arneirosf and the Lusos Crew players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 6th match minute, Arneirosf was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Laurentino Balsemão to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Augusto Portugal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alípio Laureano was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Arneirosf's Alípio Laureano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Moutinho in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute Lusos Crew were awarded a corner. Reginaldo Fiúza went to the cornerflag to take it. Reginaldo Moutinho scored 0-4 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alípio Laureano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Augusto Portugal struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Alípio Laureano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lusos Crew. When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Estevão Padilha sped through Arneirosf's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Alípio Laureano. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Portugal in the 23rd minute of play forced Arneirosf's goalkeeper Alípio Laureano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Arneirosf defense, Augusto Portugal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alípio Laureano. The Arneirosf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alípio Laureano should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the game, Lusos Crew's Augusto Portugal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alípio Laureano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Alípio Laureano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Estevão Padilha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Estevão Padilha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Alípio Laureano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, Lusos Crew's Reginaldo Moutinho made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alípio Laureano was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alípio Laureano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Estevão Padilha in the 45th minute of play. After some careless play in the Arneirosf defense, Estevão Padilha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alípio Laureano. The Arneirosf fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alípio Laureano should have stopped the shot. Disappointed in the 0-10 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Augusto Portugal made a kick off. Arneirosf's Alípio Laureano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Arneirosf from getting a goal against them. 58 minutes into the game, Lusos Crew's Augusto Portugal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alípio Laureano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-12. After 61 played minutes Arneirosf got a freekick which was hit by Laurentino Balsemão. 65 minutes into the match, Arneirosf's goalkeeper Alípio Laureano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Reginaldo Moutinho. Alípio Laureano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Portugal in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Augusto Portugal dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alípio Laureano, 0-13. Alípio Laureano came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Lusos Crew's Reginaldo Moutinho. But to his dismay, Reginaldo Moutinho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-14. Arneirosf's Alípio Laureano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Arneirosf from getting a goal against them. Lusos Crew's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reginaldo Fiúza in the 80th minute. Arneirosf's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Estevão Padilha scored to the left of an out of position Alípio Laureano, making the score, 0-15. 86 minutes into the game, Lusos Crew's Estevão Padilha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alípio Laureano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-16. Alípio Laureano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Portugal in the 92nd minute of play. The nice shot from Reginaldo Moutinho in the 93rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Alípio Laureano had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. When the match was over Lusos Crew could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arneirosf throughout the match.
