An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertino Gama in the 3rd minute of play forced €uros's goalkeeper Plácido Corte-Real to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 4th minute Noel Quintas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivo Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albertino Gama might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Plácido Corte-Real. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albertino Gama ran back to his position shaking his head. Donato Ribas kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Amarante FC's Nuno Peixoto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Plácido Corte-Real made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 31st minute, Albertino Sequeira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Amarante FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 34th minute Albertino Sequeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Plácido Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lilko Albachki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Plácido Corte-Real tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Amarante FC's Lilko Albachki in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye €uros's goalie prevented a goal. Albertino Sequeira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Amarante FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lilko Albachki to make the kick off. In the 55th minute, Noel Quintas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in €uros's zone, Albertino Sequeira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Plácido Corte-Real came out of the goal and Albertino Sequeira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Albertino Gama got free with Plácido Corte-Real in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Plácido Corte-Real made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Lilko Albachki sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albertino Sequeira in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Plácido Corte-Real saved €uros from getting behind. 63 minutes into the match, €uros's goalkeeper Plácido Corte-Real had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lilko Albachki. In the 66th minute, Lilko Albachki fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Plácido Corte-Real, passed just outside the right post. Albertino Sequeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lilko Albachkis short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Plácido Corte-Real to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, €uros's Domingos Camacho got a free kick in the 76th minute. Albertino Sequeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lilko Albachki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Albertino Gama managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amarante FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albertino Gama was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Plácido Corte-Real breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amarante FC's Lilko Albachki was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 92nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. When the final whistle sounded Amarante FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than €uros.
