Reginaldo Moutinho who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Christoffer Grinden when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Augusto Portugal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christoffer Grinden was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Marco Bülow showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Lobato in the 20th minute of the match. Reginaldo Moutinhos short, quick shot in the 21stth minute got Christoffer Grinden to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 22 minutes into the match, Lusos Crew's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Erik Hamnberg came free, but Marco Bülow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panteras FC's Christoffer Grinden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Portugal in the 24th minute of play. Lusos Crew's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reginaldo Fiúza in the 25th minute. The corner ended in Estevão Padilha almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Panteras FC's Christoffer Grinden did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reginaldo Moutinho got free with Christoffer Grinden in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Reginaldo Moutinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Christoffer Grinden made a huge save. Marco Bülow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Lobato in the 33rd minute of play. Augusto Portugal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Christoffer Grinden skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Reginaldo Moutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Christoffer Grinden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Bülow showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batista Batistuta, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Batista Batistuta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Lusos Crew's Augusto Portugal in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto Portugal in the 65th minute of play forced Panteras FC's goalkeeper Christoffer Grinden to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Christoffer Grinden made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Moutinho in the 66th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Reginaldo Moutinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lusos Crew's supporters rose to their feet, but Reginaldo Moutinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christoffer Grinden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lusos Crew were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after Panteras FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Reginaldo Fiúza took the corner. Manuel Ugarte thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Christoffer Grinden, a very annoying self made goal in the 89th minute which led to 4-0. Christoffer Grinden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Portugal, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd minute, Adalberto Salgueiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Lusos Crew fully deserved thier win.
