The long shot by Josué Cunha in the 11th minute really tested Osvaldo Raposo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 12 minutes into the game, Graciano Torcato cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Ricardo Colaço was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Osvaldo Raposo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto La Forest, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Ricardo Colaço showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Alcântara in the 24th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Aveleda's Silvano Quintela slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Osvaldo Raposo. That made the score 1-1 after 29 minutes of play. Porfírio Vilaça charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Porfírio Vilaça the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 32 played minutes SC Longasd got a freekick which was hit by Porfírio Vilaça. Josué Cunha's shot from long distance in the 33rd minute was not bad at all, but SC Longasd's Osvaldo Raposo knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. In the 33rd match minute, SC Longasd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Torcato to maneuver through the defense. Osvaldo Raposo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josué Cunha in the 36th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Aveleda's zone, Valério Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ricardo Colaço came out of the goal and Valério Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Raposo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silvano Quintela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Raposo made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Josué Cunha sent off a good shot on target. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valério Alcântara to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Silvano Quintela managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Aveleda's supporters rose to their feet, but Silvano Quintela was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Raposo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valério Alcântara got free with Ricardo Colaço in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 56 minutes, Silvano Quintela put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Osvaldo Raposo. 58 minutes into the match, SC Longasd's goal looked a bit too open when Beto La Forest came free, but Osvaldo Raposo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SC Longasd's Osvaldo Raposo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beto La Forest in the 61st minute of play. Osvaldo Raposo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Gama in the 88th minute of play forced SC Longasd's goalkeeper Osvaldo Raposo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Alcântara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Silvano Quintela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Raposo. SC Longasd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvano Quintela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. In the 96th minute, Silvano Quintela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. SC Aveleda walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
