The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A hard shot 6 in the game by Jorge Esteves from a close distance when the talented Luís Lousada managed to make a qualified save. FC Nação Portuguesa's players were relieved. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Nação Portuguesa's goalkeeper Luís Lousada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, FC Nação Portuguesa's Luís Lousada got control of the ball when Laureano Rego tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luís Lousada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Laureano Rego in the 15th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vladimiro Infante in the 19th minute of play forced CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's goalkeeper Nigel Navarro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 22nd minute, Laureano Rego got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Veríssimo Pereira in the 26th minute. A nice corner shot did that Jorge Esteves got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Luís Lousada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Evandro Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Lousada having to interfere. Jorge Esteves might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Lousada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Esteves ran back to his position shaking his head. Vladimiro Infante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Nigel Navarro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

If Evandro Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS fans' excitement grew in the 53rd match minute when CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's Jorge Esteves looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 56th match minute, FC Nação Portuguesa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Vilalobos to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS's Veríssimo Pereira got a free kick in the 59th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Esteves in the 62nd minute of play forced FC Nação Portuguesa's goalkeeper Luís Lousada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the FC Nação Portuguesa defense, Jorge Esteves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Lousada. The FC Nação Portuguesa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Lousada should have stopped the shot. Fábio Furtado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nigel Navarro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimiro Infante in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nigel Navarro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Lousada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Esteves in the 73rd minute of the match. Fábio Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Jorge Esteves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Lousada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nigel Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Infante in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89th minute, Ivo Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vladimiro Infante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When the referee ended the match the CANARINHOS DE ALCAINS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
