Pedro Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sandro Soveral's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. Dragon Blue's Afonso Quadros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Albertino Corte-Real in the 14th minute of play. Estrada FC's Pedro Barbosa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Estrada FC from getting a goal against them. Sandro Soveral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Barbosa having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Sandro Soveral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Barbosa. The goal made the score 1-0. With 27 minutes on the clock, Éder Póvoas commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Albertino Corte-Real kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estrada FC's goalkeeper Pedro Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Damião Amaro got free with Pedro Barbosa in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Albertino Corte-Real had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albertino Corte-Real was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Estrada FC's zone, Humberto Fiúza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Barbosa came out of the goal and Humberto Fiúza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 56 minutes into the match, Estrada FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Corte-Real came free, but Pedro Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Humberto Fiúza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Severiano Aleixo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dragon Blue's Humberto Fiúza got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estrada FC's goalkeeper Pedro Barbosa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Severiano Aleixo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juvenal Queiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dragon Blue's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Damião Amaro in the 81st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when David Aragão got free with Afonso Quadros in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 85 minutes, Damião Amaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dragon Blue's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damião Amaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedro Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Aleixo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Severiano Aleixo took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pedro Barbosa. Pedro Barbosa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Dragon Blue fully deserved thier win.
