Hugo Vilalobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ilídio Palmeira hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. After 11 minutes, Rogério Vigário made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Malandros Unidos CF's Hugo Vilalobos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Malandros Unidos CF getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Olavo Pereira hit a great ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lucas Assunção stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Egídio Mesquita came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Sport Açores e Benfica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egídio Mesquita couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Rogério Vigário managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the final whistle sounded Sport Açores e Benfica left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Malandros Unidos CF.
