Sords Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Mário Tasso scored to the left of an out of position Durval Miranda, making the score, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armindo Castanheira in the 15th minute of play forced Baião FC's goalkeeper Aloísio Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sords Team's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Rafael Câmara scored to the left of an out of position Durval Miranda, making the score, 3-0. Armindo Castanheira's late challenge caught a Baião FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Armindo Castanheira helped the player get up and apologised. Armindo Castanheira kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 楚希枫 during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jardel Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Miranda having to interfere. Baião FC's Romão Pádua suffered a concussion after 35 minutes and had to leave the field. Baião FC made a substitution. Hipólito Maia replaced Romão Pádua. The supporters of Baião FC booed when Sords Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

The wind increased when Armindo Castanheira made the kick off in the second half. If Julião Damásio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armindo Castanheira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 55 minutes, Óscar Freire mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sords Team and the Baião FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Sords Team got a freekick which was hit by Óscar Freire. In the 56th minute Rafael Câmara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Miranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durval Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mário Tasso in the 61st minute of the match. After 66 played minutes Sords Team got a freekick which was hit by Gil Campos. Óscar Freire hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Armindo Castanheira came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Sords Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Armindo Castanheira couldn't finish the play. 76 minutes into the match, Mário Tasso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Durval Miranda. Durval Miranda was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Alexandre Vale came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Baião FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alexandre Vale couldn't finish the play. Baião FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sords Team for a fine match.
