Durval Miranda was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Rafael Câmara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Miranda having to interfere. Gil Campos hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. When Mário Tasso came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Baião FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mário Tasso couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Baião FC's Aloísio Coelho got control of the ball when Óscar Freire tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32nd play minutes Mário Tasso shot 0-2, a short shot which went by Durval Miranda and just under the crossbar into goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Tasso in the 35th minute of play forced Sords Team's goalkeeper Durval Miranda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Durval Miranda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jardel Silva in the 38th minute of the match. Baião FC were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Sords Team's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Alexandre Vale took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Alexandre Vale got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Durval Miranda quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 41 minutes into the game, Alexandre Vale threw the ball into play from the sideline. Sords Team's Rafael Raposo quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Rafael Raposo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sords Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Rafael Raposo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aloísio Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Câmara was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd match minute, Sords Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Augusto Seixas to maneuver through the defense. Durval Miranda made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Mário Tasso sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 55 minutes, Jardel Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baião FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jardel Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sords Team's Durval Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafael Câmara in the 58th minute of play. Rafael Câmara was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Durval Miranda didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mário Tasso went, in the 60th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. 63 minutes into the game, Hannes Engbers was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Baião FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sords Team the free kick. After a rather tough play, Baião FC's Hannes Engbers got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Hélder Macieira's late challenge caught a Sords Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hélder Macieira helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Baião FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Hélder Macieira hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Óscar Freire in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aloísio Coelho saved Baião FC from getting behind. Rafael Câmara kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Armindo Castanheira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sords Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Armindo Castanheira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72 minutes of play, Baião FC's Jardel Silva made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Durval Miranda was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mário Tasso came free with the goalkeeper in the 77th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Durval Miranda could save by the left post. 81 minutes into the match, Sords Team's goal looked a bit too open when Jardel Silva came free, but Durval Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sords Team's Durval Miranda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sords Team from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute, Jardel Silva fired away a shot that was totally unreachable for Durval Miranda. The ball ended up just outside the left post, and Baião FC's manager could be seen angrily pacing the sidelines. Jardel Silva who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Durval Miranda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 86th match minute, Sords Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gil Campos to maneuver through the defense. During the 88th minute of the match Hannes Engbers completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hannes Engbers a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Hannes Engbers hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Baião FC's Aloísio Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Seixas in the 94th minute of play. The Baião FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
