Spectators: 7989 (Terracing: 5993, Seating: 1837, VIP seats: 159) Tarcísio Castelo Branco made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd match minute, Safira Harammes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Calado to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Viveiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sérgio Madruga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Quintanilha in the 7th minute of play. Safira Harammes's Sérgio Madruga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noel Quintanilha in the 10th minute of play. Aloísio Perdigão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Aloísio Perdigão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nivaldo Lucena. That made the score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Odivelas FC's Alexandre Barbosa got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 24th minute Aloísio Perdigão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nivaldo Lucena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anselmo Viveiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sérgio Madruga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Odivelas FC's zone, Aloísio Perdigão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nivaldo Lucena came out of the goal and Aloísio Perdigão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aloísio Perdigão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nivaldo Lucena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Inácio Caires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Madruga having to interfere. Anselmo Nascimento hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. After having played for 35 minutes, Anselmo Viveiros managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Odivelas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anselmo Viveiros was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alexandre Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. 37 minutes into the match, Odivelas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aloísio Perdigão came free, but Nivaldo Lucena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Madruga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Noel Quintanilha in the 41st minute of play. With an all-out effort, Safira Harammes's Nivaldo Lucena threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aloísio Perdigão, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Noel Quintanilha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Madruga having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Anselmo Viveiros made a kick off. Egídio Pinho hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Tarcísio Castelo Branco notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Odivelas FC's Nivaldo Lucena. Nivaldo Lucena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tomé Soares hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 83 minutes into the game, Aloísio Perdigão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Nivaldo Lucena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 86th minute, Tomé Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Aloísio Perdigão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nivaldo Lucena. Odivelas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloísio Perdigão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. In the 93rd minute, Tarcísio Castelo Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nivaldo Lucena was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Safira Harammes fans cheered their team off the field, for while Odivelas FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
