An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Brites in the 12th minute of play forced Aveiro FC's goalkeeper Gil Gouveia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Gaspar Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aveiro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gaspar Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cassiano Mendonça breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 21st match minute, Aveiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernando Rijo to maneuver through the defense. Gil Gouveia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Telmo Teves in the 22nd minute. In the 28th minute of the match, Telmo Teves got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gil Gouveia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 33rd minute, Tiago Ventura hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 34th minute of the match, Tobias Brites got a very nice opportunity to score, but Gil Gouveia was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gil Gouveia made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Claudemiro Baptista sent off a good shot on target. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Telmo Teves to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Aveiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maurício Câmara came free, but Gil Gouveia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aveiro FC's Gil Gouveia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Câmara in the 53rd minute of play. After 54 minutes, Vicente Quintanilha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aveiro FC and the GD Fiães players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gil Gouveia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amável Quental, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Aveiro FC's Egídio Sarmento got a free kick in the 58th minute. Maurício Câmara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, GD Fiães's Cassiano Mendonça got control of the ball when Gaspar Linhares tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gil Gouveia came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by GD Fiães's Tobias Brites. But to his dismay, Tobias Brites quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Maurício Câmara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gil Gouveia having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Aveiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Armando Sabrosa to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Telmo Teves managed to get in a good position for a shot. GD Fiães's supporters rose to their feet, but Telmo Teves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gil Gouveia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Aveiro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Gil Gouveia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adão Anjos in the 85th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Aveiro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Telmo Teves came free, but Gil Gouveia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute Adão Anjos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gil Gouveia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adão Anjos took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gil Gouveia. Gil Gouveia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. GD Fiães had played much better football throughout.
