Manuel Magalhães dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 18th match minute, Lima Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Cunha to maneuver through the defense. In the 21st minute, Herberto Caiado made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Magalhães. PINI FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After some careless play in the PINI FC defense, Manfred Schonath kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Manuel Magalhães. The PINI FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Manuel Magalhães should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Witalis Bejrut got free with Francisco Infante in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Magalhães came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lima Team's Jacob Barroso. But to his dismay, Jacob Barroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. Raimundo Cerqueira kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. The supporters of Lima Team booed when PINI FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Taveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Manfred Schonath ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Manuel Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. A collision led to Lima Team getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Manfred Schonath hit a great ball. Francisco Infante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witalis Bejrut, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lima Team's Herberto Caiado got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herberto Caiado to strike the kick off in the second half. The corner led Lima Team's Herberto Caiado to fire away a dangerous shot which Manuel Magalhães despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Manfred Schonath's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Magalhães read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Lima Team's corner Herberto Caiado fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Manuel Magalhães quite easily take care of the ball. PINI FC's Manuel Magalhães played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herberto Caiado in the 65th minute of play. If Witalis Bejrut had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 77 in the game by Manfred Schonath from a close distance when the talented Manuel Magalhães managed to make a qualified save. PINI FC's players were relieved. Francisco Infante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teodoro Mourato, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Jacob Barroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Magalhães having to interfere. PINI FC's Manuel Magalhães proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save PINI FC from getting a goal against them. Manuel Magalhães came out and tried to block the shot, but Herberto Caiado slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 95th minute. Lima Team played a much better game than PINI FC and deserved their victory. The PINI FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
