António Trubin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmy Ekström in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Ekström came free, but António Trubin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. António Trubin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jimmy Ekström, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Tarcísio Peixoto made in the 33rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Altamora FC's Higino lago. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimmy Ekström in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck António Trubin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 39 minutes Sporting Clube de Gaya's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Brion Heyros who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Brion Heyros got away a dangerous shot. Despite this António Trubin quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Tiburcio Liher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Porto in the 41st minute of play. Sporting Clube de Gaya's António Trubin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jimmy Ekström in the 43rd minute of play. If Jimmy Ekström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tarcísio Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The Sporting Clube de Gaya players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Altamora FC were winning 0-1.

In the 66th minute Manuel Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiburcio Liher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Altamora FC booed when Sporting Clube de Gaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Porto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Altamora FC's Jimmy Ekström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that António Trubin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 73rd minute of the match Altamora FC got a corner. Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Brion Heyros ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Altamora FC's Brion Heyros to fire away a dangerous shot which António Trubin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Jimmy Ekström might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over António Trubin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jimmy Ekström ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Altamora FC booed when Sporting Clube de Gaya was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Lisboa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 80th minute, Jorge Lisboa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Jimmy Ekström came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Altamora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Ekström couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmy Ekström in the 91st minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper António Trubin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulino Maltez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Altamora FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Clube de Gaya.
