Nascente do Leça's Frederico Vilalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xavier Sabrosa in the 14th minute of play. Enzo Morais showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severiano Campelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nascente do Leça's zone, Joaquim Teves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederico Vilalobos came out of the goal and Joaquim Teves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Enzo Morais took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severiano Campelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Xavier Sabrosa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frederico Vilalobos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. After 45 minutes, Bengt Molander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nascente do Leça and the ZEZOM TEAM players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Nascente do Leça getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Bengt Molander hit a great ball. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Severiano Campelo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Carrasqueira got free with Enzo Morais in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
