Spectators: 9199 (Terracing: 6901, Seating: 2115, VIP seats: 183) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hermínio Barbosa started the match with the kick off. MEXACOMX's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Fidel Veronica scored to the left of an out of position Januário Rangel, making the score, 1-1. In the 15th minute, Ricardo Guerra left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MEXACOMX fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After 19 played minutes MEXACOMX got a freekick which was hit by Mo Feng Xiang. In the 20th minute of the match Zarco Severiano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Januário Rangel skillfully saved the ball. With an all-out effort, SC Serrinho's Januário Rangel threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fidel Veronica, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 27 minutes of play, MEXACOMX's Ricardo Guerra made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gusmão Dias was left in no man's land by his defense there! MEXACOMX's Damaso Palben quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Zeferino Neves, made in the 29th minute of the game. After 31 minutes SC Serrinho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kjetil-André Grønseth who took care of the corner kick. Gusmão Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ricardo Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Ricardo Guerra took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gusmão Dias. Gusmão Dias dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. After the first half MEXACOMX were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kjetil-André Grønseth made a kick off. A collision led to SC Serrinho getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Fidel Veronica hit a great ball. MEXACOMX made a substitution. Maurício Meireles replaced Cassiano Peralta. 66 minutes into the match, MEXACOMX's Kjetil-André Grønseth sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gusmão Dias narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kjetil-André Grønseth in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gusmão Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Januário Rangel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Veronica in the 74th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Ricardo Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SC Serrinho made a substitution. Alfredo Laureano replaced Heitor Póvoas. Although SC Serrinho had been in control for most of the match, MEXACOMX still came away with the win.
