Zacarias Sesimbra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingos Lencastre in the 9th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Dragonf⮊rcE's goal looked a bit too open when Domingos Lencastre came free, but Zacarias Sesimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barry Houghton in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moisés Nóbrega prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 16thth minute of the game Barry Houghton who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gremio Viana's Moisés Nóbrega was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 18th match minute, Gremio Viana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalberto Leite to maneuver through the defense. Barry Houghton scored 0-2 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Moisés Nóbrega, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 41 minutes into the match, Gremio Viana's Domingos Lencastre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Sesimbra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Domingos Lencastre was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Dragonf⮊rcE defense, Domingos Lencastre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zacarias Sesimbra. The Dragonf⮊rcE fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zacarias Sesimbra should have stopped the shot. In the 55th minute Domingos Lencastre shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Sesimbra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 56 minutes Dragonf⮊rcE's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was 苏景骋 who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Gremio Viana's corner 韩轩建 fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zacarias Sesimbra quite easily take care of the ball. The supporters of Gremio Viana booed when Dragonf⮊rcE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vivaldo Brites didn't get a good kick on the ball. 苏景骋 hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Gremio Viana made a substitution. 江飞正 replaced 苏景骋. In the 67th match minute, Gremio Viana was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by 苏景骋 to maneuver through the defense. Barry Houghton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gremio Viana made a substitution. Joaquim Paredes replaced Domingos Lencastre. Dragonf⮊rcE's Mário Jardel was substituted for Barry Houghton. After 85 played minutes Gremio Viana got a freekick which was hit by 韩轩建. Moisés Nóbrega was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mário Jardel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 93 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dragonf⮊rcE had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
