Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) An unexpectedly hard shot by Phil Cousins in the 10th minute of play forced Lantham West Police's goalkeeper Jacob Thompson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lee Swallow made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dean Doherty in the 19th minute of play. Lantham West Police's Jacob Thompson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cody Reid Clanny in the 22nd minute of play. When Wes Winterbine came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Lantham West Police fans jumped to their feet. David Knightley's late challenge caught a Dover's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lantham West Police. In the 42nd minute there was a penalty for Dover. Gerry Symons stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jacob Thompson. 0-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Phil Cousins to make the kick off. Phil Cousins struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Jacob Thompson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dover. Larry Lima hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Cody Reid Clanny could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Jacob Thompson made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Cody Reid Clanny managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dover's supporters rose to their feet, but Cody Reid Clanny was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacob Thompson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Lantham West Police's goal looked a bit too open when Cody Reid Clanny came free, but Jacob Thompson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Dover supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Dover would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
