In the 14th minute, Blackheath's Ryan Lewington seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ryan Lewington the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. An unexpectedly hard shot by Biagio Censi in the 26th minute of play forced Lisburn Football Club's goalkeeper Wesley Hyde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Billy Dunlop in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rhys Digby saved Blackheath from getting behind. In the 40th minute Biagio Censi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wesley Hyde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee showed Freddie Vaughn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th match minute, Lisburn Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Freddie Vaughn to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Blackheath's goal looked a bit too open when Billy Dunlop came free, but Rhys Digby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lisburn Football Club's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
