Reg Hinchcliffe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Pugh, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes Dalton In Furness got a freekick which was hit by Huey Rothwell. Harry Pugh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Spike McGuinness blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Reg Hinchcliffe having to make a save. Reg Hinchcliffe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Harry Pugh in the 90th minute. Spike McGuinness's late challenge caught a Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Spike McGuinness helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Dalton In Furness's Spike McGuinness got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Louis Carroll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Rufus Whittaker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s zone, Spike McGuinness stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Reg Hinchcliffe came out of the goal and Spike McGuinness tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew the final whistle, Mhurphys Fury F.C. could leave the field as winners, despite Dalton In Furness having more of the ball for most of the match.
