Spectators: 8495 (Terracing: 6372, Seating: 1954, VIP seats: 169) In the 9th minute Albert McAliskey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reg Hinchcliffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Slough getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Frances Bennett hit a great ball. After 15 minutes, Donny Strickland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Slough and the Mhurphys Fury F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 15 played minutes Slough got a freekick which was hit by Donny Strickland. Louis Carroll recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reg Hinchcliffe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albert McAliskey, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Reg Hinchcliffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Crossley in the 21st minute of play. Slough's Adam Crossley got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ken Lambert kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Adam Crossley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st match minute, Mhurphys Fury F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ken Lambert to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Mhurphys Fury F.C. defense, Adam Crossley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reg Hinchcliffe. The Mhurphys Fury F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reg Hinchcliffe should have stopped the shot. Reg Hinchcliffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Crossley in the 38th minute of play. After 42 played minutes Mhurphys Fury F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Joey Burns. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Louis Carroll made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adam Crossley got free with Reg Hinchcliffe in the 55th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ian Markham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reg Hinchcliffe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Albert McAliskey in the 67th minute. Abraham Bartlett kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Ian Markham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Slough's Frances Bennett got a free kick in the 74th minute. Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s Ian Markham got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adam Crossley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 81st minute of the match, but Reg Hinchcliffe made a huge save. The supporters of Slough booed when Mhurphys Fury F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Endean didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Adam Crossley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 85thth minute of the game Albert McAliskey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s Reg Hinchcliffe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mhurphys Fury F.C.'s Ken Lambert got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Louis Carroll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Slough walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
