In the 3rd match minute, Callington City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Silvester Lambert to maneuver through the defense. Albert Sawyer kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 8th minute, Albert Sawyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Callington City's Vince Woodward played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franz Osbourn in the 11th minute of play. Franz Osbourn might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vince Woodward. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franz Osbourn ran back to his position shaking his head. Benji Hodges came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Callington City's Sean Newell. But to his dismay, Sean Newell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 24th minute, Steven Frazer made a precise shot to the right of Vince Woodward. Callington City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Sean Newell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Franz Osbourn might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vince Woodward. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franz Osbourn ran back to his position shaking his head. Sean Newell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benji Hodges having to interfere. Benji Hodges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Newell in the 45th minute of play.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Franz Osbourn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Madrid's supporters rose to their feet, but Franz Osbourn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vince Woodward breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute Steven Frazer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vince Woodward saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Beale was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. A hard shot 69 in the game by Thomas Beale from a close distance when the talented Benji Hodges managed to make a qualified save. Real Madrid's players were relieved. Steven Frazer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Vince Woodward tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Franz Osbourn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sean Newell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benji Hodges having to interfere. Steven Frazer struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Vince Woodward didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Real Madrid. After 88 played minutes Callington City got a freekick which was hit by Albert Sawyer. Sean Newell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
