Seating: 1956, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jack Beasley kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jordan Salt in the 5th minute of play forced Ambleside's goalkeeper Brian Hallam to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Owen Kessler came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ambleside fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Owen Kessler couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Ambleside's Jack Beasley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Will Pitts narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Will Pitts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Beasley in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, 1967 Kingswood's goal looked a bit too open when Jack Beasley came free, but Will Pitts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Austen Eubank got free with Will Pitts in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Austen Eubank during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Ambleside's Austen Eubank got a free kick in the 19th minute. Jordan Salt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brian Hallam made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordan Salt in the 24th minute of play. Ambleside were furious when Des Colt was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 28th minute, one of Ambleside:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ambleside. A collision led to 1967 Kingswood getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Dylan Nicholson hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, 1967 Kingswood's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Owen Kessler fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After a rather tough play, 1967 Kingswood's Jordan Salt got a free kick in the 38th minute. Owen Kessler struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Will Pitts didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ambleside. After a rather tough play, 1967 Kingswood's Tristan Hird got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Owen Kessler was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 45th minute. Ambleside's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Peter Workman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 49th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Hallam having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jordan Salt made a kick off. Brian Hallam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Peter Workman in the 53rd minute of the match. Damian Trimble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Owen Kessler 's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Will Pitts read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Jordan Salt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1967 Kingswood's Jordan Salt got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 66 minutes, Garth Lane mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the 1967 Kingswood and the Ambleside players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 66 played minutes 1967 Kingswood got a freekick which was hit by Garth Lane. Brian Hallam showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jordan Salt in the 79th minute of the match. In the 81st minute Owen Kessler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Will Pitts saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of 1967 Kingswood:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ambleside:s goal. The referee gave Ambleside a penalty, 84 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Marlon Brewer , who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of 1967 Kingswood's Will Pitts. 1-1. When Damian Trimble came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the 1967 Kingswood fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Trimble couldn't finish the play. Brian Hallam showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jordan Salt, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. The supporters of 1967 Kingswood booed when Ambleside was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brian Cheswick didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 93rd play minute Damian Trimble came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Brian Hallam . 1-2. In the 97th minute, 1967 Kingswood's Jordan Salt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Brian Hallam . Brian Hallam yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. The 1967 Kingswood players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
